Went to a vacant turn of the century lot for some dirt diggN. Alot of surface trash here but I Ain't scared. Been eyeing this spot for awhile. Besides being at least 100 years old, it still had a very visible brick sidewalk. And we got 2.5" inches of rain the night before. So, without hesitation I started scanning this area first. well it didnt take long before the first screamer of a signal came through my headphones. I am a tone hunter with my ETrac but i do look at the screen from time to time... And it was telling me quarter signal .. And Yes was it EVER.. 4 inches of dirt later and I had my 3 Barber Quarter of the year and # 4 of my detectin' career. 2nd 1899 this. yr.
After a BIG Wooooo!! I gathered my composure and continued this old walkway. Soon i got a 43 conductive deep. I was really hoping for a slick silver dime but 10" later i pulled a brass , what the heck is this item from the ground.
Kinda thought it looked like Pres. Calvin Coolidge. So in the pouch it went after picture time. Turns out its a 1911 Elks Convention medallion pin which was held that yr. in Hot Springs Ar.
Dig get on more keeper for the silver box.
Thanks for looking.
