My wife and had our 7th wedding anniversary on the 12th of September.
We both enjoy metal detecting very much.
So we decided to get away for the weekend and celebrate this happy occasion with floating a shallow river and some treasure hunting. The first day was floating and scouting the spots. While doing some water diggin, nothing much to speak of was recovered. Saturday morning rolls around and my wife asks what would I like to do. ? I just wanted to spend time together, " her choice ".
She said lets drive back and search awhile where the floaters put in.
OK!!👍🏼. Well soon the coins, fishing lures and pull tabs were in abundance. No sooner than I commented on the Target fest, while saying, " there has to be rings here". She scoops out a silver AND a tiny 10k ring. Same scoop!!
A little while passes and some Tubers show up to enjoy the water.
My wife comments on the area of choice they took. Good idea, I said.
Well WE are so glad of her foresight. Because the biggest, best FIND ever for us was about to see day light once again.
A beautiful 14K white gold engagement ring ( 2 carat + ). WOW!! Thanks to persistence, a Minelab Excallibur II and the " Garrett Carrot".
There will be MANY more trips back there to the untouched honey hole.
